About time. I've had no troubles with it. Aside from a random app that I don't care about not working.

What a worthless post robster
We know you're just hating on android, you can't actually think dalvik is better. Go back to the iphone section already.

That's good, I liked the performance on ART better than Dalvik, my only concern is that alot of app developers on android tend to drag their feet when it comes to updates and some of my favorite games aren't compatible with ART (kingdom rush 1&2, pizza boy) and I have no hope that they would be updated in a timely manner to be compatible, it took over a year before NBA Jam and Monopoly were updated to be compatible with 1080p phones.

Good to see you have a sense of humour:p

No good if you have a S5 you can't update software on Art, i didn't notice any difference anyway. Only swapping between the 2 set the phone on fire:)

I know where you are coming from on this. I have not updated to ART on any of my phones, simply because app developers and OEM manufacturers are dragging their heels. This can lead to really bad experiences for the consumer, which is why ART has not been mandated (until now and moving forward for all new Android builds).

Will this help you or me out right now? Nope. Not one bit. In fact, I'll bet right now we are gonna hear a ton of screaming from people that upgrade to 5.0 (or 4.5, whatever Google calls it), that their phones/tablets no longer work with "X" app and that the phone is having "X" issues. I will not be upgrading to 5.0 until OEM's and developers get their sh#t sorted and in order to utilize ART. (And who knows when that will be?)

Well you know way way more than me, i only started down the android path 3 months ago, i just say it as i saw it which doesn't go down well with some here. I am the same with Apple too. After having the latest 3 flagship android phones, note 3, M8, S5, its BS what you have to go through and learn just to get the phone running smooth, (I couldn't of done it without help from those on here) and then you have to have a app or two to speed up the phone and continually kill apps if not for more ram to make sure the phone doesn't drain 30% overnight. And then if it goes haywire you have to factory re set and start all over again lol. The average joe blow with a android would be walking around with a $900 phone wondering what the hell is going on:p
Funny thing my first was the Moto G and it was good, should of stopped with it. Wish i kept it too:)

I've honestly had 0 issues since day 1 art was available. If you have a skinned phone, I hear you on the oem bit, though if he skin is incompatible they oem will likely not allow art to be enabled. In my experience it's really only certain games that require dalvik still. Everyone's use case is different of course

Robster, only Australians and Brazilians pay that much for phones.

Yep, Android can be a pain or a pleasant experience depending on the phone, manufacturer and what you customize. I used to customize like crazy and just got tired of constantly making changes, which could effect other features and you end up going in circles. Not always, but it happened.

Now I just leave the phones and tablets stock. Don't even bother rooting. That is why I am using Windows Phones and my Android Phone is the Moto X. Love that phone and it has never, ever given me a single issue! Best Android phone I have ever owned and most like an iPhone in terms of reliability. If you buy another Android phone, go with a Moto (X+1, X or G). :D

That said, my next phone purchase will be the 4.7" iPhone 6 and will be doing double duty with my next Lumia purchase (hopefully a 935).

I can't risk going to ART. I need my phones to be working 100% all the time.

That's what I'm saying though. I have one single phone for both business and personal use. I do not have issues, like I said except for certain games, which are not essential.

It's probably the best 'beta' software I've used.

I've been running art since September I believe?

I understand what you are saying, but I'll wait for T-Mobile to update my Moto X and Google to update my Nexus 5 and 7. If I was having issues with any of my devices I would update, but all of mine work fine.

I saw the moto x on sale here for $420 just yesterday which is probably a lot compared to the US, i would never never have a android again as my business phone, i need my phone working 100% off the time too, a phone problem can cost me $1000's in lost business.

We have had 7 iPhones and never had a problem, got suckered in by the big screen syndrome:) As it turns out they were a royal PITA:eek:

$420 is about $100 more than what I spent on my Moto X, but it really is the only Android phone I would recommend for someone looking for iPhone reliability and wanted a larger screen. With the new iPhone 6 though, this reason is gone. Now it would just be a matter of personal taste as to whether you want Android or iOS for your OS.
