Hi everyone. So, I´ve been having this infuriating issue since the last few months, but the last couple of weeks have been extremely irritating. (Mac only, IOS and TVOS are ok)

The mini artwork in playback bar on iTunes . During the course of an album playback, the artwork will come and go at will. When it dissapears, the notification bubble that comes when a new songs starts has no artwork either. It goes like this: a song will finish and the artwork will not be there in the next song. The song after that one , and the artwork will be there. It´s completely random. Sometimes the artwork dissapears every two or three songs, only to be back on the next.

Now you see it:

Now you don´t:

What do you think, guys? Thank you all in advance and excuse my terrible English.

:)

I experienced the same thing, even in the library, it's totally random. Apple seriously needs to improve a lot its services, Apple Music is still tremendously slower compared to Spotify or others.

Glad to see I´m not the only one who is having this issue. Its a tiny, silly bug, but annoying. And yes, the buffering/loading time of Apple Music songs it´s still much slower than Spotify or Google Play, Music, which I don´t understand, since an AAC 256kbps file is much smaller than a 320 Ogg or MP3 file.

I have to admit, I use Apple Music on my iPhone and Mac, and I have never had buffering, the disappearing artwork or any problems. Might be the region (I'm in the UK), but always found my connection very good.

When streaming a track, the buffer indication on the play bar also fills up within about 5 seconds of starting the track.

Might be a local ISP issue or contention on the line? I pay for 200mbps (speed test puts me at 214mbps down / 20mbps up) and internal wifi is 1gb (connect to AirPort Extreme).

Yeah, on IOS and Apple TV has been near perfect since day 1. (playback wise). On Mac, however...

Imac Late 2013, 50Mb fiber with main ISP in my country (Movistar, I´m from Spain). iTunes and Mac Os completely up to date.

It is not a mac only problem. It does it on Windows 10 too.

I never understand why AM takes the longest to buffer. I am only staying with AM them because AAC 256kbps blows away 320kbps Ogg (Spotify) and the worst MP3 mud sound (Play Music).

I agree with you, that's the only reason why I'm staying with AM, together with Apple Watch sync. But if it's true that Spotify will offer lossless soon I may switch back to that, considering there's an app in development which will allow offline mode and sync with Apple Watch too.

That´s great news. If Spotify launch an Apple TV 4 app as well, count me back in! Apple Music is full of tiny, silly bugs. Music app lags on IOS, lags on Apple TV 4. Explore sections on iTunes it´s still cumbersome and clunky. Playback of songs on Spotify and Google Play Music is instant, whereas a few seconds of buffering happens on Apple Music. Sometimes, it´s skips songs. Sometimes a song will not load, perpetually buffering with the blue bar. Artwork dissapears. iCloud music library mismatch different remasters of the same song (gives a force upload option already. It´s been six years, for god sake. Amazon have one. Google have one) .And so on...

Reasons I´m still with AM.

Sound quality is awesome, far superior to spotify and google play (especially mastered for iTunes albums)

Apple Watch and Apple TV integration.

Now, if Apple gets rid of the nasty bugs and do the following, I´ll stay:

Standalone app just for streaming Apple Music.

Web player.

Hmm I have the same problem with my Mac - I was wondering if it's my connection that's the problem but I doubt it.

Still not fixed in iTunes 12.6.1.27. Mini artwork in playback bar and notification bubbles keeps disappearing and suddenly coming back. Completely random.

Still not fixed on iTunes 12.6.2.20... unbelievable. Such a tiny, silly, but still annoying bug.
