Anyone here using Ascendo?
I was hooked on 1Pasword Pro until I saw the review on Ascendo and I would like to know if anyone is using it since it looks better to me. I like 1Password a lot but what I don't like is that the desktop version is completely seperate from the iPhone/iPad version and they don't sync together. From the specs on Ascendo it says they do sync over the air and also with MobileMe which I also have so this is lookin' pretty good.
Would love to hear others comments?
Anyone?

Sign up for a free Dropbox account and you can have all your iDevices and desktop in sync. Definitely the best solution.

As for ascendo, it is a fine app but not as polished as 1pwd. Plus, 1pwd integrates seamlessly with Safari on the Mac.

Have you see their latest version? It's quite polished if not more so than 1 password Pro it seems. In any event, Dropbox has a little different purpose. It's not really a password vault. I don't have a Mac, I am a PC. Because I had 1 password pro they are sending me a free desktop version if I purchase the iPhone/iPad version which I just did as a competitive upgrade. I will be trying it out soon and will post back my findings.

Yes. As a matter of fact, a friend of mine works as Lvl 1 tech support for Ascendo. I tried the latest software and I feel it's not as polished as 1pwd. The only thing that Ascendo has over 1pwd is the implementation of templates. Other than that, 1pwd feels overall more polished and it's a better overall app.

As for Dropbox integration, it's same as Ascendo's use of Mobile Me (Ascendo saves the file to Mobile Me's iDisk). The encrypted file is written to your Dropbox folder and therefor all your devices have access to the password database. Since Dropbox is device independent, you can access your password file on an iDevice, a Mac, a PC, whatever.

If you're happy with Ascendo then best of luck to you.

I use Datavault and I think it's awesome! I got it for my iPhone about 9 months ago. I took a look at other password keepers at the time and decided Datavault was the best for me. The latest update really raises the bar, imho.

I used Wi-Fi sync with my MacBook Pro but I switched to Mobile Me so can sync with PC at work. You can use other free sync severs but I'd go with Mobile Me, it's worth it.
