Type: Mac pro 3,1 (MA970) 2008 early

My friend gave me a mac pro(MA970) yesterday. He hasn't used it for a long time.
When I turned on the mac pro, I saw something different from my mac pro. As we all know, a picture of gray apple shoud be shown on the screen when a normal mac is entering mac os. But this mac shows a lot of texts when it is entering the system.
After the texts, the desktop could be seen and the mac runs os normally.
When the mac turns off, some different but less texts shows for some seconds.

I don't know why. Has someone met this situation before? Or is there something wrong?
The syestem drive is not the cause, because I tried different hard drives.

Thank you very much for you help!
Please excuse me for my poor English.
