Does the App Store ALWAYS ask for a password every time you buy an app? Even the free ones? There *must* be a way to get it to save the username and password, no?

No, there isn't a way to get around it. It's a security feature, so if your iPhone/iTouch gets stolen, no one can charge to your CC when buying apps.

Just like the iTunes Wi-Fi store, the password saves for 15 minutes (or they might have made it shorter). Currently there's no way to adjust this.
 
Ok, just making sure. I thought I remembered not having to enter the password every time in the Wifi Music Store, but I must be mistaken...
