MP 1,1-5,1 ASMedia PCIE eSATA Adapter - Yateng

Has anybody tried this card? It's based on the ASMedia chipset, which I know is supported.
The vendor claims it works.

We'll see. Amazon - I can send it back. My expensive CalDigit FASTA cards are giving me issues after 5 years of use.
Not sure it's the cards or system configuration.

Confirmed to boot macOS on a Mac Pro 5,1. Oddly, it does not boot BootCamp drives, might not be compatible with the BIOS emulation.
Once Windows 10 boots other attached drives are accessible.
It is faster than the OWC Accelsior S PCIe Adapter independent of slot using the same SSD model. But the differences are slight.
