I've been using ASO to host my website for about a year and a half now. I've been happy with the service -- especially since my site is very low traffic.
About 1.5 ago I decided to change my ISP and, in an effort to avoid having to change email addresses again in the future, I decided to begin using my ASO account as my primary email. Here's the problem: Twice in that time period spamcop (yeah, I know its a terrible product) has identified my shared ASO host as a trouble host and blocked messages. I've also had others at paces like MSN tell me that my messages get flagged as trouble on their end.
So the question is, is this just a function of shared hosts that I have to live with? Is this a problem with ASO that could be solved by moving to a different host? Is this a problem that would be solved by asking ASO to switch my server?
I really don't want to use my new ISP's pop-only access because I'm used to using IMAP and because I really want to have one email account that can follow me regardless of my ISP (one of the reasons for getting the domain name in the first place). Also, because of the IMAP use, a web-based option (gmail, yahoo, etc.) is out of the question. The problem is that a number of my emails are, as they say, "mission critical." As such, I'll end up using my ISP's pop access over using ASO if this is a problem that cannot be solved short of using a dedicated host.
