Aren't the requirements ridiculously high for GH3? I have a feeling Macbooks wont be able to play it (either well, or at all).

I personally love guitar hero after playing it in the break room at my work, and if it worked on my MBP I would most likely pick up a copy.

This is quite cool....but why not play it on your xbox 360 or PS3 with a full tv screen. I think i'd rather buy it for a console rather than my computer.

I have a friend with a pretty new (as in bought in the early part of the summer) 15" C2D MBP. Should I assume her MBP will run this game? I know nothing about games and video cards (my expertise sorta topped out with Commodore 64 and Frogger), so I haven't a clue as to how to interpret "It does not support Intel integrated video chipsets." I'm thinking this might make an awesome Christmas gift.

so no macbooks

still..those are pretty high system requirements for a game that (basically) is showing you some colours and you enter keys accordingly

But, since it's all about me and my questions :), will it run on a MacBook Pro?

should be fine, depending on how old your lappie is...:apple:

Well, Aspyr is only about 6 weeks behind schedule, but that is ok, glad to see it finally made it.
Myself, not having a tv in my tiny dormroom, will probably get this for my computer. I like the idea of a usb guitar. Yeah, it will be annoying, but at least I don't have to buy new batteries.(you have to think of these things when you are a poor college student. I justify buying the game because of all the money i will save in not buying batteries for the controller.:D):apple:

Thanks, hankolerd. Her 15" MBP is less than 6 months old. I'll take the gamble and get it for her.

i think it is usb guitar only?!?! stupid when all intel macs have bt as standard :S

i dont know enough about macs to know what this quote is all about but i do know that every usb device works fine with my mac. but maybe the guitar would be different? i dont know

I already have it for PS3, I wonder if the Mac software will work with it?

The specs are for the early 2006 iMac (2GHz core duo and x1600 video card).

Thats a new style guitar also.

"Note: Due to the size of this package, we will only be shipping this product within the United States." - MacGameStore.com

I assumed it would be expensive, but it looks like some of us are completely out of luck. Aspyr originally said it would be a hybrid release with Windows and Mac in the same box (so you could just buy the hybrid locally) but then went and split it into two versions. Glenda stated that future US releases would be hybrid.

I asked about the rest of the world, and Glenda said that in Europe the Mac version would be in a separate box. She didn't mention any other regions.
