Assassin's Creed 2 with wireless xbox controller

Hey guys,

Just recently bought Assassin's Creed 2 on steam for mac. How do you connect a wireless xbox 360 controller to an iMac to play the game?
I've googled it a bit and looks like I just need to download a driver from here:

Has anyone had any success with this?? Or any problems?

I've tried several controllers, controller apps like GamePad companion, nothing works.

Actually Tattiebogle's XBOX USB driver works great with Lion. Recognizes the controller... controller works great with games that allow for controllers. I have been playing Limbo with the XBOX controller, it's great. Sad thing about Assassin's Creed II, while it was designed for a controller, however the Mac port doesn't allow for a controller. So I'm hoping someone has a mapping program, that has successfully allowed for the XBOX controller to be used for Assassin's Creed game play. And if anyone used one of the various mapping programs... post the script.

Luckily I bought ACII during the Steam summer sale, so I'm not out much if I give up on the keyboard and mouse controls. I also purchases the Brotherhood. If there is a script that works for that, this would be good news too.

Keyboard and mouse are FAR superior for FPS, but 3rd person games, with on screen colorful buttons for instructions. I am lost, and kind myself just pushing punch over and over. So my assassin isn't very effective... more like a beginner boxer who can't jump very accurately.
