I've been wondering if and how it is possible to assign a fixed ip or a local name to a connected VPN client.

Both server and client are using built-in OS X software. so the normal behaviour is, that the server assigns an IP address from its specified range everytime the client connects. the assigned address always changes on reconnect.

Is it possible to tell the server software to always assign the same ip to a given client? Or would it be possible to somehow assign a local name to the client, or even get bonjour to work?

I just want to always be able to reach the same connected client under the same local identifier.

Any hints greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
