I have an elderly parent in another province having issue with their high sierra on their mac. I had remoted it to troubleshoot and couldn't figure it out. The issue is there was some websites connecting to the website like youtube and google, but the rest of the sites were not. In safe mode, all the websites work in connecting to the internet.
The firewall is on during this time. Toggling it off and on triggers something and all website connects online. Then after few days it goes back to just few websites working. The modem was also changed thinking it was causing an issue.
So not sure as at this moment, the internet just doesn't work. This is all hard wired via Ethernet.
Any assistant or troubleshooting would help. Also had apple help via chat but nothing.
