So my question is if the combination of Astropad + USB C 3.1/10gbps would increase the picture quality / decrease latency over the last gen iPad Pro 2017 3.0/5gbps speeds when connected through USB ?

I'm not sure why this would happen but it's not surprising. Perhaps if you email them with details they will investigate. Seems like these folks are on the ball. Others with similar products, not so much. Wireless, I would understand.

I bought this, and am awaiting it. One of the reasons I bought it was the seeming commitment to their product line. But Apple keeps throwing curve balls, so who knows.

Same, but I used the included cable which is, if I’m not mistaken, USB 2.0

Did you use an USB-C cable with sufficient bandwidth?

Bought a special USB-C USB 3 gen 2 cable and no discernible speed improvements

That’s a shame. Ah, well.

Though, I must say, latest improvements to Astropad were great and I’m already very satisfied with its performance. Waiting on my Luma to arrive. I’ll be using it for Photoshop and Zbrush.

I have read that luna+astropad doesn't make any difference in latency versus Astropad only over USB. Though I must say that using the Discrete GPU versus the Integrated GPU does make a difference in the latency.

True. But I ordered Luna to have two different displays instead of a mirrored one.

Let´s hope that the devs will improve the situation or better to have Apple implement a native solution :3. Having that Cintiq feature only available for Macs would also increase the sales for them.
