Is there an astrophoto app that rivals the quality of pixel? I mean, this is purely software thing, but all apps i've downloaded return ****** pictures. None of them has that crazy 4 minute exposure the pixel has which returns stunning astropictures.

I have been using NightCap Camera for a number of years. You can have unlimited length, ideal for star trials etc.

I know NightCap but the "magic" is to not get the star trails at all

The only way to obtain a ‘true’ 4 minute shot without a star trail is by using an Astro Tracer.
The Pixel 4 takes an exposure only lasting for 15 seconds, even if you shot a full four-minute shot. Google essentially stacks and processes 16 15-second exposures.
Another reason you don’t take lengthy shots is with items such as the surface of the Moon. The Pixel is unable to capture the moon’s details and a moonlit landscape in the same image.

However, a decent 15 second shot taken with the iPhone can produce spectacular results.

I understand that pixel takes a stack of 15 seconds shots that is why i am asking why there is no similar app on the iphone that takes the same approach as it will produce images with much more clarity than simple one 15 second shot... for instance the milky way is clearly visible on pixel shots, the iphone only shows the stars as they are much brighter than the milky way
