AT&T A-List Eligibility question

They say the plan is only for people who pay 59.99 or more on their plans. Anyone know if this "plan" is for voice only, or if it includes text messaging as well?

In other words, I pay for the 39.99 plan, but with $30 more for data, plus another 20 for unlimited text....i pay around $80 (after discounts) for my overall "plan".

Also, what if we have a 15% discount? So, if someone has the 59.99 plan, but a 15% discount, they're obviously not paying 59.99 but are they still eligible?

I feel that, with their "customers who pay at least 59.99 on their plan" policy, they should include iPhone users, including people like me who have lowest minutes plan of 39.99. Reason: cheapest voice plan 39.99 + (REQUIRED) 30 for data=69.99/month. Therefore, with them forcing us to use $30/month for data, that should make us eligible for the A-List.....right?

i am assuming that if you pay more than $60 on your plan total, you will be eligible. But this is at$t we are talking about

It appears to be all about the calling plan you have, not how much you actually pay.

If your individual plan is 900+ minutes ($59.99 or over) per month, or your FamilyTalk plan is 1400+ minutes ($89.99 or over) per month, you'll be ready to add your A-List on September 20!

ya....usually i would call AT&T and ask them.....but we all know how "reliable" they can be on information.

Also, with this press release being released today, I'm willing to bet my next bill that anyone I call will have no idea what I'm referring too.

ya it sucks....but i guess it's expected. all other competitors have "eligibility" requirements. meaning, you can't be paying the lowest tier of minutes.

oh well.....i'm just going to use skype instead....paying another $3/month for unlimited calling is better than another $20/month just to get unlimited calling to my google voice number

I'd be willing to bet that it is minutes (voice) only:

Verify you have an eligible voice plan.
o Individual Nation plans starting at $59.99/month are eligible; customers can select up to five standard domestic phone numbers.
o FamilyTalk plans starting at $89.99/month are eligible; customers can select up to 10 standard domestic phone numbers.

The REAL question for me is if it applies to dialed AND received calls. All the news stories say dialed and received, but nothing official from AT&T.

It's weird though because I've been with AT&T for a long time, and I think I might have a qualifying plan? I have the 1400 FamilyTalk Nation, but I only pay $80.

Did they just up their price on the plans?

you must be getting a major fatty ass discount somewhere

i'm paying 450 minutes, plus data (obviously) plus unlimited messaging with a 15% discount totally to about 80/month
