My cell phone is currently on my employers business contract with AT&T. Does anyone have an idea if AT&T will honor the exsisting contract and just activate the iPhone?

I own a small business and just recently moved my parents Cingular account under my business AT&T internet/phone account. As it was explained to me I can cancel a line without penalty. As to transfering, which obviously would be preferable, I don't know.

I imagine if you're operating on an open line owned by your company (ie not personal service they're paying for, or you're being reimbursed for after the fact, you are using a phone they gave you from IT or whatever) then you may be able to pay full retail and get an iPhone, though you might need a requisition # or similar source document from your employer authorizing you to purchase and use an iPhone on that account.

If you're in a corporate office, IT might not be too happy with you.
