Just noticed it changed to unlimited. I did order the change but was advised that it will not take in effect until my current 250mb plan expires. I only got 21 days out of 30. WTF. I hope they prorate me.

AT&T changed my plan to unlimited prior to my 30 day 250mb exp

As of this morning, under 250mb for sure.
I think I had 64mb left, but I'm going by memory.
Same thing here, your unlimited plan will start 30 days after your 250 plan started. If you go over 250mb now you just sit till then, or you could pay some more $15? But I,m not jinxing mine if I run out before june28 when my unlimited starts I'm just gonna sit tight and pray to the cell gods that AT&T do me right..

What is supposed to happen is that your 250MB plan runs out (assuming you used it up) and then the new plan starts immediately, no matter which one you chose. If you did nothing then a new 250MB plan starts and the counter starts immediately. If you canceled then your service stops. And if you chose Unlimited then it starts immediately and the 30 day counter starts too.
The OP is describing something different. He is saying that his 250MB plan ended early and he's now on Unlimited, which he did order but with the assumption that it wouldn't start until his 250MB plan ended normally. That is not what is supposed to happen.
I would call ATT and ask what's up, OP, cuz I did the same and here is how my account looks...
