Hi, i used my friends upgrade.

I went to go purchase the iPhone 4. When it came to the total. It came up to 299.00. Then total said 317.00. But, All together it was around 245.00.

I just want to know why they charge me $17.00?

Please Help!

They charged you -$72 tax? That's awesome.

I need to move to a state where they charge negative tax ;P

Whether or not you pay the $18 activation fee really depends on the account and the upgrade line. My wife was eligible for full upgrade on her line and was waived the $18 fee. I bought my iP4 using another fully-eligible line (no activation fee), upgrade-swapped it to my line and was charged the $18.

Wouldn't it make more sense to ask AT&T, rather than a forum?
