I was just reading an interview over on TUAW and it looks like the new data rates, except for the highest of the high utilizers are very fair. If you hit your limit on the 200 MB plan, you will be given the option to upgrade to the 2GB plan for an extra $10 for that month without any penalty to roll back to the 200MB plan at the end of the month. However you must do this update before the end of the billing cycle.

If you are on the 2GB plan and hit your limit, you can then reup for another 2GB for the next 30 days (so it doesn't end when your billing cycle ends). So if you are on monthly billing and hit your limit on day 25, you can re-up your 2GB that will last for 30 days from when you re-upped.

If you do nto re-up or upgrade from the 200MB to 2GB plan, you are charged $10 per 100MB of data used.

Ars Technica also posted up their staff usage. I would consider them most likely to be pretty above average utilizers and even most of them would be good on the 200MB plan
