My iPhone has not been able to connect to an at&t hotspot for a little over a month. I don't know what happened.![]()
I do believe you just described a cellular data network...They NEED to get WiFi coverage most everywhere. Since they can't get fast 3G coverage.
Just think...... if they could get a wireless router developed that could be placed everywhere they have a wifi repeater, have a strong enough transmitter/receiver, and get it to hand off between each unit seemlessly, they could get rid of their 3G headaches. Maybe THEN, we could have simple things like MMS.

And MMS is only an issue for the iPhone. Works fine on all other AT&T phones that have MMS capabilities.
I can't think of any reason why they haven't opened it up for the iPhone yet.
