At&t FAN discount question

My buddies and I are going to get 5 iPhones on a family plan with the At&t FAN discount. I wanted to know how much $ would we have to pay after the first two iPhone lines. I read its 29.99 dollars for each iPhone line after the first two, but the At&t website is telling me 9.99 for each line. I'm just trying to make sure before we buy them.

This is what At&t will charge us:

1400 shared minutes - $68

Unlimited Shared Messaging - $30

Data plan for each iPhone - $25.50 x 5 = $127.50

Additional line - $9.99 x 4 = $39.96 (is this number correct? or will it be $99.96, if we get charged 29.99 for each additional line after the second iphone?)

Total = 265.46
 
You should probably ask an AT&T rep rather than us. Add a phone to your cart, wait a few seconds, and it'll ask if you want to chat with a representative.
 
Correct reponse

Depending on what plan you go with it's what you'll be paying

1400 minutes is going to be 80 dollars

Each additional line is 9.99

plus your family text unlimited is 30 dollars

and each iPhone must have a data plan which would be 30 x 5

you would get whatever discount your employee gives you off the main rate plan so in this example 80 dollars and also off of each data plan.

Regular price is 299.96 plus tax cell phone tax is usually about 20 to 25 percent

On your first bill your going to se prorations plus 5 activTion fees the first one of 36 dollars and the next four of 26 dollars

Also don't expect your fan discount to be applied right away in some instances it will take about two bill cycles.

Knowledge comes from being an ATT sales rep for the last 7 months.

Personally i also think 1400 minutes won't be enough a month for 5 lines you should prob consider the 2100 minute plan instead.

FAN does not follow a set discount percentage, but rather base on individual FAN account.
 
keep in mind that not all fan discounts can be applied to the data plan. I work for CVS and we get 21% off of the voice plan only.
 
I am a student at ASU and I'm getting 15% discount on the voice plan and for each data plan.
 
With our FAN discount, it only applies to the first two lines. After that, the data plan is 29.99 per iPhone, and 9.99 to add them to the account.
