AT&T - How many phones will they have?

i heard they're monitoring this forum and every person that asks this question for the 500000th time is blacklisted from ever getting one...
 
one AT&T store said something like 80-100. about 50/50 4GB/8GB

Apple and AT&T have not stated how many iPhones will be available in each store.

Just think, if Apple Store and AT&T will be open until Midnight. How long will it take to sell 20 to 40 phones, an hour or so...

They must have plenty of iPhones to be open that late. I think the stock varies at each AT&T and Apple Store. This is the reason they are not saying how many iPhones will be available.:)
 
Ill provide the location sometime after i buy my phone there :D He also said he wasnt supposed to tell me, and kinda whispered it.

No reason to make it up. Im sure every ATT store will be different.
 
Considering its not made up BS. I just dont feel the need to post where I got my information because the guy was nice enough to tell me how many they had.

Why is it that everyone is deemed a liar on these boards? Heres an idea, actually believe someone for a change. I have 0 reason to lie about the quantity of phones at a store. Im not 10 years old.
 
I called my AT&T Store (located in a town with around 50,000 people), spoke with the manager himself, and he said he DID know how many they would get in but could not disclose that info to me. He recommended that I line up in the morning around the time the store opens (9AM). He also said that they would be handing out tickets at 5:45 PM to the people waiting in line. There will be the same number of tickets as there are iPhones available. My store will also have 4 registers open, and will bring people in 4 at a time to either purchase the phone or look at the demo unit.

I believe him.

the numbers are consistent with others I've heard.

So, that means 70-100 iphones at AT&T stores
500-1000 at Apple Stores (roughly)

I went to an AT&T store in Tucson and I asked the salesman there if he thought they were going to sell out the first day. He said "probably not - we're going to have hundreds of phones here on Friday"
 
The store I called is located in a really low population mall, which is why they are probably only getting 70. The other ATT store I called wouldn't give me any numbers, but was located in a mall. The only thing he said was they will have enough for everyone.

So this is def dependent on the stores total volume of sales over a period of time as presumed.

I dont believe this kid but your numbers seem to be on track for the most part, putting total first day units at 300-400 thousand units between att and apple. I could definately seeing flagship stores getting 2500+++:apple: :apple: :apple: :apple: :apple: :apple: :apple:
 
I'm 28 years old and I am also an Apple Certified Tech.
