I have had this problem a few times. The at&t logo doesn't show up and then the phone doesn't work. If you call the number it goes straight to voice mail even if I have a good signal. Then it won't acknowledge that there was a missed call or a voice mail. All the other functions work fine. If I then reset the phone the at&t logo will reappear and everything will work. Has anyone else had this problem?

Haven't had this problem at all.
Do you have access to another AT&T phone? If so, try putting your SIM in it and see if the same problem crops up. If it does, it's either a bad SIM, or you just have poor coverage where you are. If not, it's the iPhone, and it needs to go back for repair/replacement.
