My ipad calls on other device/numbersync gave an error message tonight on my iPad and I have been unable to proceed past the upgrade to WiFi calling step 4.

I called at&t, and was informed that they are having problems on their end(vs my account) and to call back in 48 hours if the issue is not resolved.

I thought I would let others know vs trying to reset the iPad network setting like I did before I called.

EDIT: I wasn’t sure if this should go in the iPad section (as I lost capability on that device) or the iPhone section as it concerns cellular service. Moderators please move as appropriate.

Info from apple's page on the feature.

Add a device
Make sure that the device you want to add has the latest version of software. Then follow these steps:

    1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Phone and turn on Wi-Fi Calling, then turn on Calls on Other Devices.
    2. Tap Add Wi-Fi Calling For Other Devices.
    3. On your other devices, sign in to iCloud and FaceTime with the same Apple ID and password that you use on your iPhone.
    4. Turn on Wi-Fi Calling:
      • On your iPad or iPod touch, go to Settings > FaceTime > Calls from iPhone and tap Upgrade to Wi-Fi Calling.
      • On your Mac, open FaceTime and choose FaceTime > Preferences > Settings and select Calls From iPhone > Upgrade to Wi-Fi Calling.
    5. When a six-digit code appears, enter it on your iPhone and tap Allow

Edit: Looks like it was fixed now.
