Hi all,

Since they just announced the iPhone 3Gs, I figure there will be lots of iPhone 3G for sale on eBay in the coming weeks.

I have an iPhone 2G that I use with AT&T's prepaid, Pay as you Go (PAYG) plan and 100 MB medianet. It is unlocked and jailbroken but I'm not even sure if it needs to be unlocked to work with AT&T's GoPhone plans.

Does anyone know if this (PAYG and medianet) will work well with the iPhone 3G? If anyone has any info on whether the 3G will work with my current setup, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks in advance,

i dont think the 3g can be, i signed up for the medianet thing and as soon as it noticed i was using an iphone again it reverted back to the iphone data plan, and the AT&T reps were complete Arse's to meh,

Best solution to try would be just to switch sims and not even visit an att store. They can't change your prepaid account to a contract without you although it may simply not work at all.

I also have a first gen but am considering 3g or 3gs, slam dunk if I could keep my plan for $49, 20 more a month is more of a cost then a few hundred dollar phone purchase.
