and it needs a reboot

Looks to me like it IS rebooting, not that it needs a reboot.

Very funny that this display is run off XP. The fanboys will be wetting their pillows with tears tonight over this.

Must be cheaper for them to put in a Dell or eMachine PC with Windows rather than a Mac Mini just to run a video.

Plus it's just a reboot. Every machine has to do it at some point or another.

The marketing guy in me is saying that Apple missed a huge opportunity here by not having a Mac on display at every ATT Store in the country running the videos. Should have been part of the deal. 17" iMacs anyone?

This is kinda dumb considering AT&T wants to sell to whomever will buy. That market is still owned by Windows. So why not use something that looks familier to the majority of potential buyers?

the apple stores were supposed to be using macs for their iphone displays, at least that is what the "media" told us.

its funny that the demo runs on XP and even funnier that some Mac fanatics got defensive t and said XP must have crashed when this was posted on gizmodo.

That is not a picture from an Apple Store. It's a picture from an AT&T store.

The "demo" is just a QuickTime movie.

no matter what is truly up, reboot, crash, etc...it is still funny that the display is running XP anyway...
