I tried to use my debit/Visa card and they said the system would cancel my order.. WTF? That was a waste of an hour and a half...

He said it will cancel it later.. He said the system is designed that way..

When I placed my order at an AT&T store, the first thing they asked is if I was using a credit card. She explained they could not use a debit card and earlier in the day they had gotten pretty far into the process before they realized the person was going to use a debit card. So now they were asking everybody first thing...

I think the guy is full of crap. Most debit cards can be used just like a credit card and if that's the case it shouldn't be a problem. I don't think the system knows or cares either way. I haven't seen a debit only card in a long time.

Also I have never ever had any place not take my debit card or cancel my order because I used a debit card. I have a TD Bank card myself. I have also used my debit card to purchase iPhone's from AT&T in the past without issue.
