This is why my first choice to buy my iPhone will be from the Apple Store...:)

Why do you think Apple's policies will be any different? They will do the same credit check thing with everyone, they will be required to ask it.

Please don't misinform others. ATT is REQUIRED to OFFER a credit check and not deny sale to anyone that declines it. There is no word about what Apple's policy is so all one can do is speculate.

Your right the policies are not different, but their sales people are different.

For example I just called AT&T to ask about the iPhone and the sales person was trying to sell me a different phone. He couldn't answer my question, but he was still trying to sell me a phone.

At the Apple Store you can walk in to the store and ask a question without buying anything and they don't get upset about.

AT&T sales people don't want to bother with you if you are not going to buy a phone. They are on commission and their time is precious.

"iPhones which are Dead on Arrival(DOA) will not be exchanged over the counter. There will be no manager override allowing this process. The Apple Warranty & Repair process will be followed."

That sucks.
