this has been an ongoing situation since last year, when AT&T inadvertently took my 7,500+ rollover minutes. They returned almost the entire amount, but yesterday they took 1500 and scheduled 5900 more to "rollback" to them. Called and the first representative said "oh, this is normal" and I stopped her and asked to speak to a supervisor; eventually they decided NOT to take all my minutes, but give me 300 per month for the next two years. Maybe it's resolved, but maybe it's not....:eek:
 
Yeah, that's what got me and they didn't even bother to mention that it was going to happen; they just took 'em. Normally, we have 200-300 taken from us and we are well over 10,000 rollover minutes since being with AT&T 2004, but never 7,000 over a two month period, let alone one month...:eek:
 
if ATT took my 4600 rollover minutes away I don' think I would miss them.

Didn't use them when I had them and I surely don't think I will use them 11 months from now.

If they scaled back ad said you can only rollover up to 2 months of minutes that would be fine.
 
The fact that you have that many rollover minutes suggests first that you are on the wrong plan and second that you will never use them and thus pretty much wasted your time getting them back.
 
Maybe he is on the cheapest plan! I'm on the cheapest family plan and I have thousands of rollover minutes. IT just so happens that a majority of people we talk to are also on AT&T.

Ironically, this month if the first month we've ever exceeded our minutes so we're finally able to use some of them rollover minutes! :p

Truth. I recently lowered our family plan minutes. My wife and I share 550 and we're still left with loads of minutes. Most of our friends are on AT&T, or we make a lot of calls on nights/weekends plus now we text/email. Phone calls are becoming history - at least for us. :)
 
I'm also on their cheapest plan, but I'm not sure how I'm under 2,000 minutes since I've been a customer since 3 years ago....I always get leftovers

maybe they just took them away, just like that as mentioned before

I don't miss them whatsoever....
 
The fact is that we've been on a family plan w/1400 minutes, and we have a total of 5 iPhones, with a majority of our friends and family with AT&T and iPhones. The next cheapest plan would definitely not suffice. 10,000+ rollover minutes has accrued since 2003, so even if others might think we have the wrong priced plan, why would we go back to risking the per minute overage costs? We are happy with the plan and why should we allow AT&T to take rollover minutes at random and going outside of their own guidelines with regards to the 12 month deduction of rollover minutes. I'm discussing with AT&T, the reasoning for violating our agreement. I'll keep you posted...
