ATA Serial DVD Burner into Mac Pro

I bought a DVD burner that is supposed to fit a mac pro, but it doesn't, it has a ATA Serial connection, is there way to connect to Mac Pro, like an adapter or something?

What model Mac Pro do you have? There are two unused SATA ports on the MP motherboard, they are a little difficult to get to, they are locate behind the fans, you may need a longer SATA cable but you can connect the drive to one of those.

If you mean you have an IDE/ATA drive and need to put in a SATA optical bay, then there are small relatively inexpensive adapters available, but their viability as an option depends on if you have enough depth to fit the drive and the adapter in your sata optical bay together.
If you mean the drive is SATA and u need a way to connect it inside your ide optical bay, the ide to sata adapters I have encountered work fine that way, too. For connecting a SATA Optical drive, the other posters advice about using the spare SATA connection point on the motherboard is a perfectly usable option. It does require pulling some of the MacPro's internal bits to make it easily accessible, but looked like a fairly straight forward task in the video I saw of it being done.
