I have a Mac with 10.6.4 and an ATI Radeon HD 4670.

I heard of issues with NVIDIA.

Any issues with ATI?

I do have HL2
:apple:iMac 27 Intel Core 2 duo 1 TB HD 4 GB RAM 256 MB VRAM:apple:

Haven't heard of any. I've got an i7 iMac with the Radeon 4850 and updated to 10.6.4 on day 1, and haven't had any issues with any games (HL2, Portal, etc).

Really? I have the same machine but stayed on 10.6.3 because I had read that there were issues with ATI cards and the 4850. (Although maybe that was talking about under bootcamp Windows. I forget now - do you use bootcamp on your machine? Getting normal video, 32bit colors etc etc?)

I noticed no decrease in performance between 10.6.3 and 10.6.4 on my flashed 4870. Works just fine.

Ok well that's useful to know, thanks. I guess I should try 10.6.4 then.

Offtopic but - what is a "flashed 4870"?
I purchased a 4870 from XFX, a company that only makes the PC version of the 4870. I got a 4870 with 1GB or RAM (as opposed to Apple's 512MB) for $150 a year ago.

Some kind people on the MacRumors boards have created some ROMs that contain the code necessary to turn a PC-only 4870 (and other cards) into ones that will boot OS X. You "flash" the PC card's firmware with the new ROM image by booting into DOS and running a special program, and *poof*, it works in OS X....for half the price and with double the video RAM.
