Hi all,

I'm thinking of selling my Mac 5870 to a friend who's building a hackintosh. Can you use a native Mac card in a PC? Does it require a BIOS flash beforehand? Thanks :)

Doesnt make much sense because your Mac card is a lot more valuable than a PC 5870 but it will work without any modifications.
You could easily sell this card and buy a new Radeon or GeForce for the money.

From looking on eBay, a decent price is around £120 or so, that's fine by me. Already have the EVGA Mac 680 which is fantastic, so the 5870 isn't doing anything.

Yeah, and a PC 5870 is about 50€ on eBay ;)
If your friend gives you £120 for your card, sure, do it, but he will have no benefit at all compared to the cheap PC card.
