Hi guys i have radeon 5770 pc version in my mac late 2009 can i have my old gt 120 that come with mac can i install it and have 2 video cards in my mac?

Is there a big performance difference between the two? I'm looking at systems with the GT120. If performance for Photoshop is decent I might not need the 5770.

Thanks for any insights.
 
It's sad we still have to deal with the 5770. If you look at the latest offerings, forget about it. These old graphics cards aren't even in the same performance zip code when compared with, say, HD 7970 (a fantastic card which can be seriously overclocked, I own one) or a GTX 690.

It's pathetic what we have to put up with because of no update.

I believe the 7970 and GTX 690 are too long to fit in a Mac Pro.

A GTX 680 can be used.
