Ok, I’ve done some searches but I haven’t found the answer to this question. I thought I read all the fine print, b ut I seem to have missed this part: on the new unlimited plans on ATT, there’s no way to turn off stream saver for the iPad line? Do folks know any way around this, or am I now doomed to low quality video on the iPad forever? Thanks all.

Now it’s line by line on att unlimited. You can’t choose elite for the iPad line, only tablet unlimited, which throttles video streams.

Ahh, my bad I thought this was for an iPhone. Here is the article for ATT, if you cant see it then might want to try calling ATT. The other easy way around it is just connect to a VPN and then ATT cant see you are use a video service and it wont throttle you.

Yeah, there’s no option for turning it off for the iPad plan. I’ll try the vpn route. Only problem is most streaming services don’t work on VPN.

It’s part of the unlimited for all thing. It’s a family plan, we all have unlimited, it’s just the IPad they’re throttling.

It doesn't throttle any iPhones you have in the house?

Nope, you can simply turn off streamsaver, and the throttling is gone, until you reach their artificial limit on unlimited data. But for the iPad… not so much.
