I was talking to att about getting an iPad set up on an unlimited plan. I have one of the old grandfathered in original plans that they will not let me amend so they are trying to tie me to the plus or choice. HOWEVER my wife and daughter are on another (older not the original unlimited plan by themselves) costing them $148 a month for 2 phones. I have been skittish on changing my plan because in the past it has been said that i have the unicorn plan and never to change it. OF course att steps in saying that i would be better off with the unlimited choice plan with my phone and the other 2 phones as well as an iPad hooked up for about $145. I looked at some reviews on the choice plan and it seems as if the choice plan is a basic economy plan that caps out speeds on the devices. (which with my high GB consumption would be terrible if true) This leaves me with the plus plan which would put the three phones at about 165-190 and if i added a iPad about 220. Does anyone have any suggestions on the two and if i got the hotspot coverage would i even need the iPad connected or could i just stream it to my wifi only pro? (or would i need to get a cellular version?) pardon my ignorance. I ask here because i know that sometimes positive reviews online hide bad intentions.

My bill is $85-90 now and my wives is $148 so as it is we spend about $230 or so.

The new plans would be:

Choice- 1 iPad 3 phones $145

Plus- 1 iPad 3 phones $about 220 (if i could get by with the hotspot i think the 3 phones alone would make it about 15-180)--- which would still save but would the speed and coverage be better than what we have?

Thanks in advance
