Hey, I hope somebody here can help me with this error. I bought my Iphone 5 from online, it's unlocked, it was working fine, but after I reset it at home, I can't bypass the activation screen because it's asking me for Apple Id. I tried JB with evasion but it's asking me to activate it first. Is there any other JB I can use that will let me reset my iphone without activation? Or any other method, please help Im lost.

You need to unlock it with the Apple ID you used for find my iPhone. If it is set to the person's you bought it from, you need to have them remove it from their account. Good luck.

This sounds a little dodgy to me. I say another great example of iOS 7's activation lock feature working well against thefts here.

If you brought your iPhone online, why can't you just send it back to the original seller to be activated? hmm...

Don't need to. The original seller can deactivate it without having the iPhone physically.

Have a talk with the seller OP. There is a possibility the seller stole the iPhone and doesn't know the id. If so you are sol.

This is my most talked about feature with friends and fam. I love it, makes iPhones paperweights when stolen.

No, its activation locked and that cannot be bypassed.
Sounds like you either bought a stolen device or the seller didn't remove his icloud account from it.
Only way around it is to contact him cause you will need him to remove it from his device list on icloud and then that activation lock will be gone.

This really sucks. I can't reach the seller, that's why I'm asking if there's anything I could do. Is there any chance a future jailbreak or any 3rd party software to fix this thing?
