Hey guys, I have a recently purhased imac 20 inch aluminium :D

I uploaded some pictures from my camera onto it, edited them, put them into events, that stuff... I open my e-mail to show some of my friends my pictures, try and attach them, and for some reason, when I go to the picture folder or Iphoto application, it wont let me open Iphoto Library, only Photo booth. Any ideas?

Also, I did not upload the pictures from events into whatever it needed to be into, mabye thats my problem.

do you use apple mail? If so, when you are in iPhoto, highlight the pictures you want to send, then in the bottom right corner (iPhoto 08), hit the mail icon. You will be prompted to select the size that you want the photo resized to.

If you don't use apple mail, then you will have to drag the image that you see in iPhoto (image thumbnail) onto the desktop. This will make a copy but retain the original in the library. then upload from the desktop, send the email, and trash the temp image that you just dropped on the desktop.

it also depends on how you store you images. If you do not import the original into iPhoto and use your own organization, than you can just drag it to the e-mail or attach as you regularly would any other file.

I store my pictures in Iphoto, it is very simple. I am however not sure if they are actually in the library. I will try putting the picture file on desktop, then uploading that into my e-mail and see what happens.

BTW, i am using hotmail, not apple e-mail.

web based e-mail is an entire different animal. You will need to find the original e-mail. If you have not changed the default settings of iPhoto you will need to export the photo and than attach as regular.
