In their review of the new airs, Anandtech gave a quantitative comparison of various display properties of the airs and other laptop displays. Does anybody have a guess what methodology they use to arrive at these data about Contrast, Brightness, Blacks, Color Accuracy, as well as Color Gamut? Oddly, Anandtech does not have contact information on their site.

If we an find out what method they used, we'll have a direct way to compare eg the 9CDF and 9CF0 displays on the 13.3" Air, and also the different displays used in the 11.6" one.

Just out of curiosity...why does it matter?

Beauty will always be in the eye of the beholder, objective proof notwithstanding.

Oh and Google for the win!

This is like the guys who run some program to find out if they have a stuck pixel. If you can't see it without running the test, then what difference does it make? I've never understood why some folks go to such great lengths to find problems.

If you read my post again you'll hopefully realize that I didn't ask about your snooty opinion but something else. Thanks for tuning in to the thread anyway ;-)
