Hello all...I have a MP 5,1, and installed a RX580 flashed from MacVidCards. I updated to Mojave with no problems, and I get the Apple loading screen when starting up

Now I'm trying to use OCLP to move to Monterey. I am at the point where the "Install macOS Monterey" usb disk has been created. When I restart I am unable to use the option key to bring up the startup disk selection options. Using system pref to choose a startup disk only shows my Mojave installed disk.

I'm thinking that the fact that it is a flashed card means I won't be able to see the startup disk selection for the EFI boot. Is that correct?

I have a PC tower I could probably use to flash the card back to PC, is that the way to go? If that is the best way to do it, do I need to uninstall OCLP and rebuild it for the same card with a new BIOS?

Thanks

So are you saying that you created a USB installer for OpenCore but when you boot with the option key you do not see the USB stick as a boot option?

If that is the case you should try another USB stick.

I'm saying the expected result of option+rebooting to choose the startup disk should show the EFI Boot disk, the Install Monterey disk, and the Mojave disk. As of right now I don't even get the startup disk options, the system boots straight into Mojave. Once I'm booted into mojave, I do see the Monterey disk on the desktop, but of course trying to install it from there won't work as you have to boot into the EFI disk upon startup to be able to install Monterey. As such, I don't think the drive is the issue...I reformatted it to GUID and followed all instructions step by step.

Sometimes the USB stick/disk is incompatible with booting - I would first try another USB disk as your installer.

Just redid the USB build with a new disk, installed OC efi onto the usb disk, rebooted, same result. No bootpicker

Well I am at a loss - I suggest you ask questions in the OCLP Discord. It is supposedly a very active Discord with the OCLP developers participating.
