ATTO N322 SFP28 network card ROM compatible w Myllenox..?

So, I wanted to test something with these two cards and looked for very similar models (as people have said that the ATTO FF cards are based on the Myllenox cards). Unfortunately listings had blurry pictures and the pictures I found on Google Images were slightly different than the actual layout of the card received.

Still, is there any reason [not] to:
1. Back up the Myllenox ROM
2. Copy the ATTO ROM
3. Write ATTO ROM to Myllenox

And test if it'll be recognized by a MacBook Pro (via PCIe to TB, obviously)..?

And if anything has an issue, just revert the Myllenox ROM back to stock..?

Myllenox Model: ConnectX-4 LX CX4121C // MCX4121A-ACAT, Dual Port, SFP28
ATTO NIC Model: N322, Dual Port, SFP28

BOOM!! IT WORKED!
But even an old SFP+ ATTO is SLOW on my cMP.

I thought it was that NS11 ATTO card but then it did the same thing on the Myllenox and the ATTO SFP28. I tried in multiple slots, with multiple DAC cables ... and on two different MP5,1 that I have.

I have a PCIe to TB3 I'll test it in soon and update this further...
But to me..? The important thing ... is that IT DOES WORK.

And it's easy. Just copy the BIN and write it to the Myl ROM using a pomona clip.

Did you use a switch between the NICs ? If not - enable the appropriate network speed in the settings ! The OS will otherwise stay with 1 Gbe.
The ff ns/nt 11/12/14 for PCIe use will work in most tb enclosures - the ns/nt versions for a tb enclosure won’t work in a normal PCIe slot ! The driver won’t load because of a different ID !
Also keep in mind to apply a new MAC address to the cloned NIC if used in the same subnet.

While both the Myllenox OEM-ROM and ATTO-ROM worked in an external TB3 dev ...
But ... the OEM-ROM didn't allow my MP5,1 to chime (which I kept retrying bc I didn't believe it).
That said, the ATTO card and the Myl + ATTO-ROM both worked in the MP5,1.

Thus, it doesn't seem difficult to get Thunderbolt access to these cards ...
But (unless 2 MP5,1 not chiming was a fluke) it will not work unless it has the ATTO ROM in the MP5,1.
