I have accepted the fact that receiving pix cell to cell on the iphone is just never happening. I reluctantly got used to the ATT workaround of "viewmymessage.com". However now I can not receive any pix or MMS. After several hours of tech support with both ATT & APPLE, the final answer is , we dont know why it doesn't work. Does anyone know another solution to receive pix cell to cell?

email seems to be the popular answer.
Some people are experimenting with AIM/other chat clients to get around it.

To send MMS to other ATT customers (might work for other carriers, never tried):

E-Mail to 10digitnumber@mms.att.net

I just add an entry under everyone's contact as a "mobile" email that I can send MMS to. They recieve whatever you email to them as a MMS.

To recieve:

Just have all your friends add your email address as part of your contact information in their phones.

For example my GF has a RAZR and she has my email as a contact, she sends MMS to me, except instead of selecting my phone number she selects my email address. Its as easy to send to me as any other MMS and costs the same as a regular MMS. Its a standard feature for ATT users.
