I have two ATV2 and I have one in my bedroom. I have sleep set for 15 minutes. I have awoken in the middle of the night and found that the quite bright LED is ON for some reason. It will do this on occasions, even if I have not used it for over a day.

I then manually put it to sleep and the light will go out.

Anyone else experienced this? My main ATV2 doesn't seem to have this problem, however it is hardwired to my router. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

Thanks for any insight.

2 weeks ago, my aTV turn on by itself several times a day for a few days. Everytime, I turned it Off. It doesn't go to sleep when this happens. Then it stopped. WTH !!!I was really puzzled.

We have Verizon FiOS which is supposed to be very reliable. Well, they were doing repairs in the area and had many glitches where we lost the connection for a fraction of a sec. When the router restarted the WiFi, I guess it was telling its clients: "hey dude, renew your IP", which does not occur when it's hardwire.

This is what is waking up our aTVs .
