Hey all,

Just got an Apple TV and think it's a nice little device with lots of potential that Apple has yet to tap. I have come across so many blogs, tutorials, and documentation on how to hack the ATV; both with or without voiding the warranty.

I have found two pieces of software that will bring the ATV closer to being an amazing media hub; still missing 1080p and DVR capabilities, but the DVR part is not that big of deal to me right now.

So which one would you guys choose? aTV Flash or Pathstick 2.1? There seems to be a $10 difference which is not huge at all.

Can anyone share there experiences with either? People that have tried both would be great to chime in as well.

What is it that one can do that the other can't, etc? Thanks

I have atv flash and have had no problems. I did have an installation issue with getting some files and TM them on a Sunday afternoon and he TM'd me back within 30 minutes with support answers. I highly recommend them for that reason.

atv Flash can be frustrating to say the least. If you have anything approching a complicated network, be ready for some amt of use of intellectual elbow grease to get things working.

Thanks for the response so far guys.

What would classify as a complicated network? Different subnets? Sharing with different protocols? Firewalls?

Be very careful with this link, based in Canada as following:

They are a very big cheat, and keep charging you without really giving you a clean product as they advertise. I have a very bad experience with them.

Ashok,
nice to see you. Will you finally pay for all the support you got?
This guy got over 3 hours of remote support and still did not pay it.
We changed our product terms after having to deal with this guy.

But you are right, we should have mentioned in our description that the user has to be able to use a keyboard and type some comands
