Hi there,

my work is looking for a fairly simple and inexpensive method of displaying company announcements and upcoming events. I've never used an ATV and I'm assuming I could just connect it to my work's wireless network, and have it stream off images as a slideshow off another specific computer on the network.

The question I have is about updating the information. Would they just have to add and remove images from the slide show through itunes?and it will automatically show an effect through the ATV or do you have to update the slideshow and then manually go to the ATV and restart the slideshow?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can set up a flickr screensaver.. so you could upload the announcement to flickr and the appletv would show it..

we currently have mac mini's setup for this, what a waste, I'm trying to talk them into apple tv's so I can take the mini's home :D

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-gb) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Couldn't you just have a computer on the network running iTunes and point apple tv to a folder on this computer? That way there is no need to put stuff on flickr for everybody to see...
