Hi,

I have got a 40gb ATV a 80 gb Mini Mac, i want to keep all my movies tv shows for my ATV seperate (i.e External drive 500gb). I am going to get one of these that sit directly under my mini mac, how do i get my ITunes and ATV to sync with that rather than use hard disk space on my ATV or Mini mac as there will not be enough space ? Any ideas and guides on how i can do this please as i am new to this ?

Cheers

Hi,
I have a similar setup myself. The Mac Mini has two external 500gb drives and I just store my movies and music on these. If you want your ATV to see the films, just add them to iTunes on the MacMini but make sure to have it configured not to copy the files to it's own folders (ie. leave all your music and movies on their original source drives). Once in iTunes you can set it to just stream to your Apple TV.
