hi all,
so I plan to buy a new apple tv 1080p version or the 720p version, and i'm kind new to this so I'm beggin you to clarify some doubts I still have.

I will be mainly using the ATV for streaming(if possible) some .mkv very large files on my iMac. is this really possible ? i do not hav an iPad and my iPhone is full of stuff, so moving this files to those and makin airplay won't happen :(, also converting them to .m4v or any other type of file is out of the question, but since the new ATV is already jailbroken and i do have ( don't know if this matters) an app called AirServer, if still had hope.
oh, i read in the ATV page that it only supports certainn files, but this doesnt matter if its streaming from my mac, right ?

oh and about mountain lion's release, i will not be upgrading right on time because i do not hav money, and i don't see much of benefits on it. so there is a way of coin this on current software and hardware ?

I'm sorry for maybe some silly questions, and thanks for any comments and tips, suggestions, and expeirences too !
