ATV newbie - how to get movies rented on ATV to my Mac or PC

What is the easiest way to get movies that I rent on my AppleTV over to my Mac or even a PC?

Would be nice if they allowed you to continue watching on your Mac, PC or iPhone for the remainder of the rental time.

Something for the future I think. I reckon it isn't just down to Apple, it is probably down to the studios as well.
