The only concern I would have is heat dissipation. But I guess the rubber bottom doesn't really help even if it's on a table/stand sitting normally. I wouldn't think it would cause a problem. Just a guess though.

Heat would be my only concern too because that thing probably gets hotter than my daughters easy bake oven but if flat screens can take the heat of being hung above a fireplace I can't see why putting your :apple:TV below it would be an issue.

Hope you're going in wall with all the wiring though because that would look kinda twanky all exposed..IMO...

LCD is just on the wall, wires inside...
there is no place for ATV so the idea is to fix it below LCD
Luckily all the connections are on the top of ATV so it will be invisible
And the most important ...the logo beneath LCD :):):)
Hope the hot from ATV won't melt LCD :)

Oooooo....so you're talking about puttin it right below the LCD.. Like tucking the cords that will be sticking out the top behind the bottom of your LCD screen??

With no gap, that may get real hot....I don't know.

Isn't the remote receiver on the front of the ATV? Might have problems with that facing down.

Or are you going to be using it exclusively with iPad/iPod/iPhone Remote app?

I thought about doing this, but had real problems getting the sensor to pick up the remote.

My solution, the ATV2 is low profile, only .9 inches, so, I'm attaching an "L" bracket to the back of the TV and the top of the ATV2 with the ATV2 sticking out barely blow the bottom of my TV.

Use your Iphone or Ipad as the remote.
I have my Atv hidden in the master bedroom closet with wires running to the TV mounted on the wall on the other side.

I have set up both my phone and wife's iphone to work as remotes.

Have you done this yet and if you have do you have a picture. I was thinking about doing the same thing. The wife wanted me to cut a hole in the wall and make a shelf for it to set on.

I took it down to paint the wall. I'll post some photos this weekend.

Great thanks, and have you had any trouble with using the remote, line of sight and all.

No trouble.

Thanks for the pict, so it is mounted above the TV

Yeah, I originally had it at the bottom, but when I was rehanging it, I realized that because the TV leans away from the wall at the top, I'd have a better fit.

All I did is buy a metal "L" bracket and attach it to both the rear of the TV and the underside of the ATV2 using heavy duty velcro.

So far it has worked like a charm.
