In persona non grata
Allright, my ATV arrived this morning and I hooked it up. Cinch. Went through setup on the TV, again, a cinch. Went to my iMac, selected ATV, entered pass code, it started syncing, no prob.

However, as it was syncing my movies, I noticed something odd. I have about 25 movies in my iTunes, but it's only syncing 5 of these to the ATV! All 5 of the movies it's syncing are rips transferred from another computer. None of the rips I did on my iMAc are syncing, nor any of my iTMS purchases.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Sounds to me like it may have something to do with the format of some of your videos. Make sure that they are all compatible with AppleTV.

I had a similar problem with my music syncing. I had recently moved my itunes library to an external HD. While iTunes can find the songs, if I hadn't played them, the AppleTV wouldn't sync them saying it cannot find the item to sync. I didn't have to play the whole song for iTunes to reestablish the file link, just had to click through all my songs with iTunes in play mode.

OK, I figured it out. When it initially set up the ATV sync selector defaulted to "Sync 5 Most Recent" in movies. Changed it to "Sync Selected", clicked the missing movies, and we're off to the races.
