aTV without a router

My Time Capsule has just given up the ghost, which leaves me without a router until I can get it fixed or replace it next week.

I've set up an adhoc network using Internet sharing for my iMac over wifi (iMac connected directly to my cable modem). All works OK, my iPad, iPhone and aTV can all connect and get Internet access, but, and here is the problem, I can't get home sharing to work over this network. Which means I can't access any of my iMac content from the aTV.

Any advice or ideas would be much appreciated.
