Hey Guys,

I've ripped a few movies using the Handbrake setting for the apple tv 2. All of the movies seem to be in a aspect ratio of 4:3 as it take up the whole screen on my tiny 26' Dynex TV.

is it possible to get handbrake to rip it to letterbox? And if it is, which should I be using?

Did you change any of the aTV2 settings?
It should be set to Loose Anamorphic, which should rip your movie to widescreen. It's possible that it might fail on some films, but it seems pretty reliable, in my experience.

Alternately, you might want to check the settings on your tv. If the tv is set to expect a 4:3 input it may be squashing the image.

I didn't change any settings, and the TV is still set at Loose Anamorphic. I've ripped 3 dvd's using handbrake, The Departed, Easy A, and Lucky # Slevin. They all take up every inch on my Tv using the :apple:TV preset.
